This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application provided by Haiou VPN (the 'App') handles personal information. Haiou VPN is referred to as 'this Service' or 'we' in this document. We provide the service as described and use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your privacy.

When you download and launch the App, we collect data required for service operation, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device operating system version, in-app access paths, and session duration. To recommend suitable routes, we may process approximate location information. This information is used to: 1. recommend connection options based on Haiou VPN node distribution; 2. identify regional connection quality through anonymized aggregate data; 3. send necessary service updates, security notices, or account-related reminders.

We only transmit aggregated anonymized data to necessary third-party partners, such as Google Play Services and Firebase, to support crash analysis and feature improvement. We do not share personal information except when: 1. required by legal process or regulation; 2. necessary to protect users' life, property, or investigate fraud; 3. working with entrusted service providers under confidentiality obligations. You may stop new data collection by uninstalling the App through your device's standard process.

User-provided data is kept during the service period and for a reasonable grace period afterward. If you need to close your account and delete your personal profile, contact our privacy team at [email protected]. The App is not intended for children under 13. If we discover mistakenly collected child data, we will begin deletion procedures as soon as reasonably possible. Guardians may also contact us through the same email address.

Continued use after updates are published means you accept the revised terms. This policy officially takes effect on October 4, 2025.
